The Activism at The New School oral history program, initiated in 2019, documents touchstone moments of activism on The New School's campus from the perspective of students, faculty, and staff who participated. As of April 2020, interviewees include activists in the anti-Vietnam War movement; the 1996-1997 Mobilization for Real Diversity, Democracy, and Economic Justice at The New School; and campus protests in the 2000s-2010s.

Collection contains audiocassettes of interviews and typed transcripts from the research for Ms. D'Erasmo's Ph.D. dissertation, Breaking the Silence: An Oral History of Women Career Teachers in Urban Elementary Public Schools, completed in 1991.

The Democracy Seminar, a network of seminars that ran from 1984 to 1994, and again from 2018 to the present (2021), were semi-clandestine meetings of scholars held simultaneously in Warsaw, Budapest and New York, before spreading to cities across Eastern and Central Europe. The seminar discussed topics in democratic politics and culture, and was the genesis of the Transregional Center for Democratic Studies at The New School for Social Research. The Democracy Seminar oral history project consists of interviews conducted by Ph.D. sociology candidate Jack Wells with three sociology faculty members who were deeply involved with the Democracy Seminar: Jeffrey Goldfarb, Elzbieta Matynia and Andrew Arato.

Collection contains audiocassettes of interviews and typed interview notes from the research for Ms. Friedman's Ph.D. dissertation, "Origins and Development of Psychological Services in the Public Schools of Buffalo, N.Y., 1906-1980," completed in 1981.

Collection of materials from former Dean of the State University of New York at Buffalo's School of Architecture and Environmental Design, Harold L. Cohen and his wife Mary D. Cohen. Includes extensive project files (sketches, reports, designs, photographs), business and professional correspondence, publications, personal papers, exhibits and exhibit plans, and audio/visual materials.

The collection contains thirty-five oral history interview transcripts, photographs, a VHS videotape, and a variety of printed ephemera, including newspaper clippings, fliers, handouts, programs, business cards, brochures, booklets and restaurant menus. It is arranged thematically into four series: 1) Transcripts, 1988-1989, 2) Puerto Rican Community, 1973-1991, 3) Other Hispanic Communities, 1950-1992, and 4) Photographs.

This oral history project consists of six audio interviews conducted by New School for Public Engagement student Gerard O. Hemmerle as an independent study under the supervision of Professor Julia L. Foulkes during the Spring 2013 semester. Interviewees consist of long-serving university faculty and staff, primarily associated with what was known as the New School for Public Engagement. Recordings are all in English.

The papers of Prominent Local Jews in the Jewish Archives of Greater Buffalo include the papers of Donald S. Day, Dorothy Goldberg, Bernard Mandelkern, Morton Merowitz, Haskell Penn, and Milton Plesur as well as oral history interviews with other notable persons. Included in the collection are committee reports, correspondence, photographs, and citizenship records.
