Patterson, concerning her disappearance en route from New York City to Saco, Maine in March 1867. Letters dated chiefly between April and October 1867, with one undated letter, and one letter by Maria dated 1861. Some letters mention the consultation of a clairvoyant who claimed Maria could be found in Lowell, Mass., but she was apparently never located. From Maria L.
