The archive includes their analog artist files (now these are digital and we are not collecting those), which document the work of most of the important book artists in the United States, their educations and exhibition programs, other publicity materials, their contracts with artists and teachers, and relevant corporate records.

Ian and Betty Ballantine were book publishers who contributed to the growth of paperback book sales in the United States between the 1940s and the 1990s. The Ian and Betty Ballantine Books and Business Records include the Ballantines' materials related to Penguin Books USA, Bantam Books, Ballantine Books, and Peacock Books. Administrative documents cover the management of these presses as well as the editorial, sales, inventorying, and advertising processes. In addition, the collection contains the bulk of the editorial libraries of Penguin Books USA, Bantam Books, and Ballantine Books.

This collection consists of correspondence between Irving Stone and his literary agency, Laurence Pollinger, Ltd. Also included is correspondence between Lucy Moorehead (Alan Moorehead's wife and executor of Moorehead's estate) and Laurence Pollinger, Ltd.

The K.P. Chen papers documented the banking and finance career of a banker, entrepreneur, and finance advisor, Kwang Pu Chen dating from 1936 to 1968. Materials in the papers include accounts, loan contracts, correspondence, telegrams, diaries, financial reports, , letters, news clippings, notes, photographs, press releases, printed materials, and reports.
