Collection consists of manuscripts, documents and printed materials. Manuscripts include two memoirs by Dubakina, one on her experiences in the Crimea, the other on a visit of Nicholas II there; and a personal memoir by Evgenii︠a︡ Tuli︠a︡kova-Danilovskai︠a︡, entitled "Pervyĭ god v Germanii." There is also a copy of a poem attributed to Vladimir Purishdevich. There are personal documents of Dubakina from 1918-1920. Printed materials consist of newspaper clippings concering A. I. Tuli︠a︡kova.
Papers include Ern's typescript and manuscript memoirs (198 p.) of World War I on the Turkish and Persian fronts and of the Revolution and Civil War; 18 photographs, all but 1 from Persia and Turkey in this period; and a newspaper clipping.
The papers consist of correspondence, memoirs, and printed materials. The correspondence is made up of letters sent by his mother, Olǵa Kostyleva, from Petrograd in 1916-1919. Kostylev's extensive manuscript memoirs (522 p.) discuss his life from his childhood and university education in St. Petersburg up into World War I. Also included are issues and clippings from "Slovo" and "Rus"́ with articles by Kostylev, and clippings from "Poslednie Novosti" by various newspapers.

Although most of the correspondence is among family members (from 1921 to 1946), there are three folders of letters concerning the publication of Shebeko's memoirs. The manuscripts include Shebeko's diary from 1918-1919 as well as English, French and Russian versions of his memoirs which were published in French in 1936: "Souvenirs -- Essai historique sur les origines de la guerre de 1914." There are documents relating to rentals, mortgages and repairs of the Shebeko's homes, estates and apartments, primarily dating from 1910-1914. The subject files include Shebeko's reports on the Balkan situation in 1913 and 1914 and the Russkiĭ soedinennyi klub in Paris. Among the printed materials are clippings and a copy of the published version of Shebko's memoirs.

There are letters from Rodion Berezov, Aleksandra Tolstai︠a︡, I︠A︡kov T︠S︡vibak, and Mark Weĭnbaum as well as one letter each from Georgiĭ Grebenshchikov, Dmitriĭ Shakhovskoĭ, and Igor ́Sikorskiĭ. There is a poem and letter drafts by Matviĭchuk, dating from 1945-1973. The arranged manuscripts include a brief memoir by Matviĭchuk entitled "Ushedshee." The essay discusses his family, the Civil War, and life in the Soviet Union during the 1920s. Matviĭchuk left the Soviet Union during World War II, and eventually emigrated to the United States. There is a box of clippings and several boxes of emigre newspapers and journals, many of which contain essays by Matviĭchuk.

The correspondence, both incoming and outgoing (copies), spans the years 1921-1938, and includes both personal and official letters as well as such ancillary materials as financial accounts, reports, clippings, circulars, etc. It deals with the activities of the White army at the end of the Civil War (Crimea, Gallipoli, Bulgaria) and with the policies and programs of the Russkiĭ Obshche-Voinskiĭ Soiuz (ROVS) in the emigration. The manuscripts are in the form of memoirs, both General Shatilov's and his wife's; there is also a memoir by an unidentified author. There are two copies of General Shatilov's 2,000 page manuscript. In it he recounts his childhood and military education, his participation in the Russo-Japanese War, and his role in World War I, the Civil War, and subsequently in the emigration in Europe, through World War II.
The manuscripts, all of which are by Sobolev, include historical essays, such as "Legenda drevni︠a︡go Novgoroda" and Sobolev's memoirs"Zapiski zhurnalista." Sobolev's memoirs cover his childhood in Novgorod, the 1905 and 1917 Revolutions, World War I (during which Sobolev was active in the Imperial Army) and the Civil War, in which Sobolev participated in White Army campaigns in Onega, Murmansk and Arkhangelśk. Sobolev also discusses a number of newspapers with which he was associated, particularly "Novoe vremi︠a︡" "Russkoe slovo" and "Birzhevye vedomosti." The printed materials consist of a few newspaper clippings.

There is a great deal of family correspondence, including letters from Fedor I. Rodichev to his wife and daughter, letters from their niece Nina Vernadsky (Mrs. George), and from relatives in Soviet Russia in the 1920s and 1930s. There are many letters by Fedor I. Rodichev to Ivan and Anastasii︠a︡ Petrunkevich, and to Natalii︠a︡ Herzen fille. There are also letters to the Rodichevs from such Kadet leaders as Nikolaĭ Astrov, I︠O︡sif Gessen, Vasiliĭ Maklakov, Pavel Mili︠u︡kov, Sofii︠a︡ Panina, and Ivan Petrunkevich, and items by Aleksandr I. Herzen, Nikolaĭ Ogarev, and Ignacy Jan Paderewski. Manuscripts include memoirs and other writings, with many notes and fragments, written by Fedor Rodichev while in exile. There is also Aleksandra Rodicheva's biography of her father, and materials used by Kermit McKenzie to prepare his edition of Fedor Rodichev's memoirs. Subject files concern such topics as the Russian Civil War, the emigration, and the Rodichev and Herzen families. Among the photographs, which are chiefly of the Rodichevs and their friends and relatives, are two portraits of Giuseppe Garibaldi. Printed materials include clippings and offprints of works by Fedor Rodichev, and some books by, or relating to, members of the Herzen family.
