Efimenko, Aleksandra I︠A︡kovlevna (Stavrovskai︠a︡), 1848-1919

Autobiographical letter written from Kharḱov in 1903 addressed to an unidentified woman requesting biographical information. The letter discusses her childhood, father, and limited formal education; her years teaching school and studying on her own; her husband, and the beginnings of her historical-ethnographical research; and her later life and studies. Appended to the text of the letter is a list of her publications which is apparently in another hand.

Fomin, Aleksandr Grigorévich, 1887-1930

Three letters by Fomin concerning merchant and bibliophile Gennadiĭ V. I︠U︡din. The three letters, written by Fomin in Leningrad in Sept.-Oct. 1932, were apparently addresed to Ekaterina Nikanorovna Rozen. Included with the letters are photocopies of items on I︠U︡din: two letters by him to Semen Vengerov (1903 and 1912), a brief autobiography, a receipt, and a pamphlet entitled"Stoimost ́domashneĭ biblioteki G.V. I︠U︡dina.. Svedenie, sostavlennoe Vl.A. T︠S︡aplinym.".

Rozhdestvenskiĭ, Aleksandr Nikolaevich, 1883-1968?

The collection contains correspondence, manuscripts, documents, photographs, and printed materials. The correspondence chiefly covers from the 1920s to the 1960s. Manuscripts include an extensive autobiography; a memoir about his work before World War I as a prosecutor in the Tbilisi region"Desi︠a︡t ́let sluzhby v prokurskom nadzore na Kavkaze;" and notes and manuscripts on many topics, including history and his years in Georgia and the emigration. Included are Rozhdestvenskiĭ's personal documents from both Russia and the emigration, and photographs of him and of members of emigre organizations. Among the printed materials are clippings and several early twentieth century political pamphlets.

Litvinov, Alekseĭ Alekseevich, 1890-1972?

The collection consists of manuscripts and documents. It includes a manuscript (16 p.) by Litvinov on the Civil War in Kiev in 1918; and a handwritten autobiography (36 p.) by Aleksandr Narkizovich Litvinov, a colonel in the Imperial Guard Izmailov Regiment (Leĭb-Gvardiĭ Izmaĭlovskiĭ Polk). Documents mostly concern Litvinov family history and span the years 1794-1918. Cataloged materials consist of two documents signed by Alexander I (1802, 1808), and one signed by Nicholas I (1834).

Pli︠u︡shkov, Alekseĭ Ivanovich, 1897-1968

This collection includes approximately 75 stories, several collections of poems, and two novels by Pli︠u︡shkov; there are also about 25 essays by him on literary topics, and a brief autobiography. Photographs are chiefly of Pli︠u︡shkov and his wife. In addition, there is a photocopy of a document concerning the medical treatment given to Maksim Gorḱiĭ in 1887 by Pli︠u︡shkov's father after Gorḱiĭ attempted suicide.
