Sophie Goldstein Collection, 1865 - 2000

Frustrated that the history of the Jewish citizens of Saratoga Springs was not well represented, and memories were failing, Sophie Goldstein and Florence Susman began the Saratoga County Jewry History Project. The two librarians designed and conducted oral history interviews of the Jewish community members. The collection also contains papers and ephemera collected by Sophie about the Jewish population of Saratoga.

The Dr. Grace M. Swanner Collection, 1832-1997 [bulk 1930-1988], 1832 - 1997

Grace Maguire Swanner, MD, was the assistant to Walter S. McClellan who was the Medical Directory of the Saratoga Spa. She also authored "Saratoga - Queen of Spas" in 1988. This collection includes items from her professional life as well as the source materials she used to write her book.

Carpenter Family Collection, 1900 - 1954

This artificial collection brings together family papers and public articles of the Carpenters, native Saratogians who dedicated their lives to Christian missionary work in the Belgian Congo.

Frail World War II Memorial Collection, 1939 - 1945

This collection of news clippings and photographs were gathered together by Edward Frail to memorialize soldiers who were killed in World War II.

Adelbert Sahlberg Collection, 1940 - 2011

This collection contains papers depicting the memories and photographs of military life in World War II as witnessed by Adelbert Sahlberg and includes two NYS Military Museum videos of interviews recorded January 7, 2011.

This collection depicts personal memories of Charles Douglas Allen’s life, family and friends summarizing his WWII service, High School and college sports activities. The collection also includes religious ephemera.

The Frank Sullivan Collection reflects the life of author and humorist, Frank Sullivan, beginning with content on his ancestry, continuing through his professional life, and concluding with his death, remembrances, and the exhibits and programs celebrating his life. The collection consists of articles written by Sullivan, newspaper articles featuring Sullivan, correspondence, photographs, and ephemera.
