Rick Whitesell turned a childhood passion into a diverse musical career. His love of music led him to assemble a collection of records, or more appropriately, a collection of music, spanning five decades, dating back to the late 1920s. The collection consists of over 3,500 records and follows the development of music for more than fifty years. Also included in the collection are issues of "Goldmine" magazine, where Rick served as an editor and feature writer, as well as some audio and video tapes containing interviews and performances.

Minutes, correspondence, annual reports, press releases, financial records, photographs, memorabilia, audiovisual, digital and printed materials document the philanthropic activities and administration of the Carnegie Corporation of New York. The collection is actively growing, primarily through regular document transfers from the Carnegie Corporation of New York. Andrew Carnegie's biographical information and personal philanthropic activity can be found in Series VII. In addition, his pre-1911 gifts, most notably his donations for libraries and church organs, can be found on microfilm (Series II), in the Home Trust Company Records (VI.A), and Financial Record Books (I.C.1). Grant files (Series III.A), which comprise the bulk of the collection) provide information on projects and institutions founded, endowed or supported by the Corporation. The Special Initiatives series (Series IV) contains the records of task forces, commissions and councils, formed by the Corporation mostly during the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s to address specific issues. The Corporation's records include those of other Carnegie philanthropic organizations (Series VI), including the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Home Trust Company, both of which shared staff, officers, and office space with the Corporation for a period of time.

The Steven H. Scheuer Television History Interviews consists primarily of audio and video interviews. The collection contains the original audio and video master tapes for each interview, duplicate copies of the audio interviews on audiocassette and compact disc, and duplicate copies of video interviews on VHS, DVD and audiocassette (audio portion only). The collection also contains printed transcripts for most of the interviews and a small amount of research material.

This collection consists of late 19th Century and early 20th Century pins related to Rochester New York. The material was collected by L. Warren Patterson of Spencerport, New York. The collection consists of pins and medals related to Rochester businesses, clubs, fraternal organizations, schools, special events, political campaigns, and veterans organizations. Other kinds of ephemera are also found in the collection, such as a shoehorn. Many of the pins were also manufactured in Rochester.

Oval, metal pin, inscribed with the words, "Newsboy registered by Board of Education, Rochester, N.Y." A rectangle-shaped cut out in the center features a paper insert bearing the number "25," along with two starts on either side. On the back of the pin the name "Leon Patterson," is written in cursive. According to the website, "Mornings on Maple Street, written by Marshall Knox, as part of the Lewis Hines project, Newsboys, Newsgirls and other street trades, Rochester New York, The Board of Education was responsible for issuing badges to Rochester newsboys. Boys were issued permits after registering and obtaining a badge for twenty-five cents. Most boys never bothered to register and often skipped school to work. Despite a concentrated effort by a group of concerned women, to round up the Newsboys during the day, public demand for newspapers on every corner, and lack of enforcement, kept the boys in business and out of school. https://morningsonmaplestreet. These records document the activities of the Burroughs Audubon Nature Club of Rochester, the oldest conservation group in the area. Included are booklets, correspondence, manuscripts, newsletters, and documents related to Rochester-area native flora and fauna. Also included are a variety of glass lantern slides and 35mm slides observing various wild plants, birds, and insects in varying stages of their life cycles. The lantern slides almost exclusively focus on different local bird species and their nests. Within the lantern slides are what seems to be different series of slides mixed in with one another. The previous original series order and list are currently unavailable and the slides have been put together in numerical order by slide.

The Mordecai Sheftall collection consists of family papers and business records of the American Revolution patriot, Mordecai Sheftall and the Sheftall family of Savannah, Georgia from 1761-1873 and a large collection of American Revolution provision returns (1777-1778) and some correspondence for the Continental Army and Navy of Georgia and South Carolina. The collection includes an original Works Progress Administration Guide to the materials.

Correspondence, minutes of meetings, financial records, publications, notes, subject files, awards, speeches, reports and audiovisual materials document work by the Church Peace Union, its successors Council on Religion in International Affairs and Council on Ethics and International Affairs, and related organizations such as the World Alliance for International Friendship Through the Churches. The first installment of the CCEIA archival materials came to the RBML in 1974, with numerous additions over the years. A major addition in 1982 contained primarily the records of the Board of Directors and their semi-annual meetings, as well as the various programs and institutes of the Council, for the years 1972-1982, along with selected 1930s materials. 1986 addition contains presidential correspondence files, minutes of the Board of Trustees and committees, special projects, programs and conferences files, and the business and editorial files of "Worldview". Correspondents include John Foster Dulles, Jane Addams, Fiorello La Guardia, and Paul Tillich. 1990 and 2000 additions includes files of CCEIA presidents and vice presidents, paper and audiovisual materials on Merrill House Conversation Programs; Educational programs; International Monetary Fund/Lecture series; The Annals Of The Academy Of Political & Social Science; Washington Consultations; Colloquia for the Clergy; Church State Project; Asian Development & The Carribean Initiative; Korea: Year 2000 Project; fundraising files, printed materials and files of the Department of Publications.
