Seventy diaries belonging to David Earl Whitford and his children, Lizzie Whitford, Marie Whitford, and Oscar Whitford, dating from 1852 to 1940.
- Biographical / Historical:
David Earl Whitford (1829-1913) worked for the State of New York for 57 years in the engineering department. At the time of his death, he was known for serving the State longer than any other engineer. He was the Resident Engineer for the Middle Division from 1889-1894, and worked as the assistant to the City Engineer in Syracuse from 1879-1880
