This collection contains the minutes in loose bound texts outlining the history of the predecessor organizations. This county wide collaborative venture included different Christian denominations geared to evangelism, improving moral conditions in the community and studying the spiritual and physical needs of the county.
- Biographical / Historical:
The Buffalo Federation of Churches was formed by the representatives of 48 churches of 11 denominations in Buffalo at the YMCA in March 1913.
Among the influences for this historic collaboration was the Erie County Sunday School Association which had worked collaboratively for more than 50 years giving church school workers the opportunity to work together.
