- Biographical / Historical:
Alan B. Knox (1931- ) is an American professor of adult education. He has taught at University of Wisconsin-Madison, Columbia University Teachers College, and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he chairs the Department of Continuing and Vocational Education. He is the author of numerous books, including Teaching Adults Effectively (Jossey-Bass, 1980) and Evaluation for Continuing Education: A Comprehensive Guide to Success (Jossey-Bass, 2002). He was inducted into the Adult Education Hall of Fame in 1996.
