This collection is composed of materials relating to the administration and events of the Schenectady Photographic Society (1931-present) as collected by member Charles V. Moore. This collection contains administrative documents including meeting minutes, organizing documents, and membership information. Event related documents cover competitions, annual dinners and yearly calendars. Monthly bulletins are also included.
- Biographical / Historical:
Charles V. Moore was a member of the Schenectady Photographic Society (1931-present) who served in several officer positions including Corresponding Secretary and Vice President during the mid-to-late 1950s.
- Acquisition information:
- This collection, compiled by Charles V. Moore, was donated on behalf of Margaret Moore in 2019 by her son Brian Moore.
- Appraisal information:
Audio tape of Stockade Tour evaluated and deaccessioned during accessioning as copies of that tour exist already within the SCHS. A Colonial Fest at the Schenectady Museum & Planetarium (1995) flyer and Schenectady County Historical Society Newsletters from June 1968 and July 1970 were deaccessioned from this collection as well because of irrelevance and the likely existence of copies elsewhere.
