Acquisition information:
The papers were placed on deposit in the University Library through the efforts of President Alan Valentine. Their use was restricted for ten years (until January 1, 1951) to members of the Committee, or persons authorized by them; thereafter they became available to the public. As their return was not demanded by the Committee before January 1, 1961, they became the outright property of the University Library on that date.

PARENT RESTRICTIONS:
The Democrats-For-Willkie Papers is open for research use. Researchers are advised to contact the Rare Books Special Collections & Preservation Department prior to visiting. Upon arrival, researchers will also be asked to fill out a registration form and provide photo identification.
PARENT TERMS OF ACCESS:
In consultation with a curator, reproductions may be made upon request. Permission to publish materials from the collection must be requested from a curator. Researchers are responsible for determining any copyright questions.
