- Biographical / Historical:
Sylvia M. Snyder was a 1928 graduate of the Oswego Normal School and taught at the Henry B. Endicott School in Endicott, NY. According to her nephew Paul Snyder, Sylvia was recognized formality and uniformity in the existing program, and supplemented that with creativity and choice in her program. She supplemented existing teaching protocol with creativity of choice of program. According to an obituary published in the Palladium-Times (April 30, 1990, page 2), Sylvia Snyder Cusak died on April 29th, 1990 at the age of 81 and is buried in St. Peter's Cemetery in Oswego, NY.
