Collection consists of paper-based documents and reports. Information pertaining to birth/baptismal; marriage; death/funeral, may be found in Annual Reports, Church Clerk Records and Registrar of Membership.

Biographical / Historical:

The West Baptist Church was organized on May 3, 1852, by parishioners who were dismissed from the parent church on the east side of the Oswego River. In August of 1853, the West Baptist Church was recognized as an official Baptist church. At one point in its history, it held the largest Sunday School Library in the United States.
