Biographical / Historical:

Linn F.C. Cary Mehta is a university literature lecturer who worked for several years at the Ford Foundation. She started as an Assistant to the President at the Ford Foundation and then moved into the U.S. and International Affairs Program, Education and Culture Program.

Cary's career as a university lecturer has included her positions at Columbia University and Vassar College. She started lecturing in Barnard College's English department in 2000.

Cary earned a B.A. in English and French literature from Yale University in 1977 and a M.A. in English language and literature from Oxford University in 1979. She earned a M.Phil and Ph.D. in comparative literature from Columbia University.
