- Scope and Content:
School of Management Study Abroad Program records contains the formal agreement between the University at Buffalo School of Management and Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey which established a scholarly exchange and collaboration between the two institutions.
- Biographical / Historical:
The University of Buffalo's School of Business Administration was founded in 1923. It later became known as the School of Management. The school was authorized to grant bachelor's degree in 1923, the MBA in 1931, and the PhD in 1949.
An agreement was established in April 1983 to formalize scholarly exchange and collaboration between the University at Buffalo and Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico. This included exchange of faculty, joint research, exchange of publications and external funding, exchange of students, and collaboration on executive development programs.
