- Scope and Content:
Correspondence files of the Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences
and Mathematics, State University of New York at Buffalo, circa 1975-1984,
primarily correspondence with or concerning departments; the records also
include reports of departmental evaluations.
- Biographical / Historical:
University of Buffalo's academic structure was divided into seven faculties with individual Schools of Management, Social Work, Information and Library Studies, Architecture and Environmental Design, as well as four professional schools (Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Law). Faculties and school provided academic programs for the University's three major coordinating divisions: Undergraduate Education; Graduate and Professional Education; and Division of Continuing Education.
Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics was consisted of Biological Sciences (Biology and Cell and Molecular Biology), Mathematics, Physic, Astronomy, Statistics, and the Statistical Science division.
