The Bruce Bennett Collection contains correspondence, material related to the Wells College Book Arts Center, the Victor Hammer Symposium that was held at Wells College, as well as miscellaneous material.
- Biographical / Historical:
Bruce Bennett came to Wells College in 1973 as an English Professor and the college’s poet in residence. He has been publishing regularly since his arrival at Wells and is in charge of an active program for visiting writers and the book arts center. He arranged for the Victor Hammer Symposium in 1995, and as a teacher of creative writing, received the Excellence in Teaching Award in 1990.
