John Dunbar was a Presbyterian missionary who lived with Pawnee of Nebraska on behalf of the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions. The collection contains a handwritten manuscript detailing Dunbar's experiences, and two letters written to his son by a pastor inquiring about Dunbar's work.
