Historian Thomas Ebert donated seven black and white images of officers from the 147th Regiment New York Volunteers. Officers include: Captain John McKinlock, Company A; First Lieutenant George Huginin, Company A; Captain Delos Gary, Company G; Second Lieutenant Volney J. Pierce, Company G; Major H.H. Lyman; Captain George Harney, Company B; Francis C. Miller.
Collection includes seven black and white images of officers from the 147th Regiment New York Volunteers and 1840 Pensioners Lists. Detailed information on each photograph included in container lists.

Enrolled, May 1, 1861, at Oswego, N.Y. to serve two years; mustered in as captain, Company C, Twenty-Fourth Infantry May 17, 1861; resigned, November 4, 1862, to accept commission as major and colonel, One Hundred Forty-seventh New York Infantry; commissioned captain, July 4, 1861, with rank from May 1, 1861, original; mustered in as major, One Hundred and Forty-Seventh Infantry, October 1, 1862; as lieutenant-colonel, March 1, 1863; as colonel, December 6, 1863; wounded in action, July 1, 1863, at Gettysburg, Pa; wounded and captured in action, May 5, 1864, at the Wilderness, Va; confined at Macon, Ga. and Columbia, S.C.; signed petition complaining of conditions at Camp Sorghum; paroled December 9, 1864, at Camp Asylum, Columbia, S.C.; mustered out with regiment June 7, 1865, near Washington, D.C. Age 28 years. Enrolled at Oswego, to serve three years and mustered in as captain, Company B, August 30, 1862; as major, March 1, 1863; as lieutenant-colonel December 25, 1863; captured in action and paroled, no date; mustered out with regiment, June 7, 1865, near Washington, D.C. [his right lung hepatized]; discharged for disability December 21, 1864. At various times, he served as county supervisor, Deputy City Clerk, Superintendent of the Water Works Company, Collector of the Port and finally, at the time of his death, NY State Excise Commissioner. Place of enlistment is likely Richland not Richmond, N.Y. Age, 22 years. Enrolled, August 21, 1862, at Richmond, to serve three years; mustered in as first sergeant, Company C, September 22, 1862; as second lieutenant, February 20, 1863; as first lieutenant and adjutant, January 17, 1864; captured in action, May 5, 1864, at the Wilderness, Va; exchanged March 1, 1865; discharged May 12, 1865. Commissioned second lieutenant, February 13, 1863, with rank from February 4, 1863, vice W.R. Potts promoted; first lieutenant, not mustered, December 24, 1863, with rank from November 5, 1863, vice W.R. Potts resigned; first lieutentant and adjutant, January 12, 1864, with rank from November 5, 1863, vice D. Farling promoted."
